1692 Chapel Visitation

I visited this 1692 chapel with my mother today. The beauty of different worship centers reminds me how, in “Worship Wars,” I reminded myself the true beauty of worship is the Who and not the where.

Happy Father’s Day!

Today marks the sixty-fifth celebration of Father’s Day for my dad. Coincidentally, my older brother just turned sixty-five last month. Unfortunately, Dad left this world after his forty-sixth Father’s Day.


One of the joys I had in putting together “Holiday Biblical Characters: Finding My Stories in the Stories of Christmas and Easter” was adding Mother’s Day and Father’s day stories to the collection. Here’s an excerpt from “A Tribute to My Number One Hero – My Dad,” referencing Jewish heroes for Peter, John, James, and the rest of the twelve.

The “Worship This Way” sign was to give direction for the attenders of the Orchard Oxford Church, which currently conducts services at Camp Lake Stephens.
